Straight, slim and easy
MAC Melanie is a straight fit with a straight, slim leg measuring 35 cm at the hem in size 36. There are two versions: Melanie in Perfect Fit Forever denim has a slightly higher rise and a slim waistband (MAC also calls this Feminin Fit), while Melanie in Authentic Stretch Denim has a medium rise and a little more room through hip and thigh. Perfect Fit Forever is a light stretch denim with 92 to 98% cotton, partly recycled.
Melanie comes in black-black, dark rinsewash, new basic wash, simple wash and brown stone wash, in lengths from 28 to 36. That makes it a good fit for petite and tall women alike. Wear Melanie with a blouse and loafers to the office or with a jumper and trainers at the weekend. Want a slightly slimmer leg? Look at MAC Angela; for a flared leg, MAC Laura is the one.

Which size should I choose in MAC Melanie?
Order Melanie in your usual MAC size. The advice to go one size smaller applies only to the Dream styles. Our 1.75 m model wears size 36. If in doubt, compare your waist and hip measurements with our size guide.
What is the difference between Melanie and Angela?
Both have a slightly higher rise and come in Perfect Fit Forever denim. Melanie is a straight fit with a 35 cm foot width, Angela a slim fit with a slightly narrower 34 cm leg. Melanie also has a medium-rise version in Authentic Stretch Denim.
Which lengths does MAC Melanie come in?
Melanie comes in inside-leg lengths 28, 30, 32, 34 and 36. You choose waist and length separately, so the jeans fit whether you are petite or tall, without needing to be shortened.
